So, die Vakuumdämmung ist in den Kertoträgern fertig verlegt. Sie wurden unter tonnenschwerem Druck zusammengezogen und mit OSB-Platten verschlossen…es liest sich nicht viel..aber der Tag war spannend und anstrengend…wie immer,-)

Well…finally the vacuumdamping has been installed into the Kertoträger. They were pulled together by the help of tons of pressure and became sealed with OSB-slabs.
That’s it. Not much to read although the day was exhausting and exciting as usual….

Tag 031 / Day 031
Alle Mann: Manuel, Rebecca, Cristina, Max, Julius und Bernd begannen die Dämmung zu verlegen. Zur gleichen Zeit wurden die oberen Stahlschwerter für den Vorhangstoff und der untere Stahlwinkel angebracht. An dieser Stelle noch einmal DANKE an die ARNOLD AG;-) Julius erwähnte, dass die vier Schichten Vakuumdämmung und 60 Stahlteile wie ein riesiges Kaffeepaket aussehen. Auf die Stichprobe haben wir verzichtet;-)

All hands, namely Manuel, Rebecca, Cristina, Max, Julius and Bernd started to install the damping. Julius said that four layers of vacuum-damping and 60 parts of steel look like a huge package of coffee. However, we abandoned the control sample ;).

Liebes Bautagebuch,
Der Transporter ist nun leer und kann weg! Max kümmerte sich um alles! Danach fuhren Max und der eingesammelte Julian wieder nach Sellstedt. Währenddessen holen Cristina, Miriane und Bernd in Frankfurt bei der ARNOLD AG Stahlteile ab – und bringen sie natürlich nach Sellstedt. Wo es schon wieder heiß herging, denn Manuel und Rebecca bereiteten die beiden Kertoträger vor. Kerto – ein Tier von Träger;-) Massives Holz, stolze 12 m lang, 9 cm dick und 2 m hoch! Er ist das konstruktiv wichtigste Teil des Hauses. Deshalb halfen die Profis Max und Julius auch tatkräftig mit;-) Nebenbei begannen die Arbeiten an der Nordwand. Nur leider ging das Material aus. Erste Opfer: Rebecca hat sich erkältet, Julius hat sich prompt angesteckt und leidet dementsprechend doppelt.

Day 30: Friday, 16th April
Dear “Manu,
The transporter was unloaded and ready to be given back. Max handled everything, picked up Julian and drove back to Sellstedt. In the meantime Christina, Miriane and Bernd had picked up the steel material at the ARNOLD AG in Frankfurt – and of course brought it to Sellstedt as well. Time again the heat had been already up in Sellstedt because Manuel and Rebecca prepared the two “Kertoträger”. And Kerto is said to be the king of the jungle, yes it is!!! Massive wood, 12 metres long, 9 cm thick and 2 metres high!!!! Actually, it is the most important part for the construction of the house. At the same time one started to work at the north wall. But unfortunately, the material ran out.
Note of first victims: Rebecca has gotten a cold and infected Julius who – needless to say – is suffering twice.

Liebes Bautagebuch,
Die Dämmung ist da – heute kam die langersehnte Lieferung aus Belgien an. Max und Manuel machten sich frohen Gemüts auf den Weg in die Stadt der wohl leckersten Pralinen und funkelnsten Diamanten – Belgien. Leider war keine Zeit für Sightseeing oder ähnlichem. Kaum mit der Beladung angefangen wurden die Augen immer größer als der Platz immer kleiner wurde. Aber wir hatten Glück! Der Laderaum des Transporters war uns wohl gesonnen und nahm trotz anfänglicher Proteste alles auf! Mit dem wertvollen Dämmmaterial fuhren wir auf dem schnellsten Wege direkt nach Sellstedt. Schließlich mussten wir ja unsere fleißigen Bauarbeiter versorgen. Bei der Ankunft begegneten uns viele lächelnde Gesichter! Als sich jedoch die Klappe des Transporters öffnete schmilzten die Gesichter in ein mühseeliges schmuntzeln. Aber, dank der tatkräftigen Unterstützung aller Beteiligten, wurde der Transporter sehr zügig ausgeräumt! Spätestens dann formierten sich alle Gesichter wieder zu einem zufriedenen hochgezogenen-Mundwinkel.

Welcome damping! Today the long lasted desired delivery from Belgium has finally arrived. Max and Manuel had happily made their way to the city of the most delicious chocolate candies and sparkling diamonds – Belgium. Unfortunately, they did not have time for sightseeing or stuff like that. Soon after having started with the loading their eyes became bigger and bigger because the transporter quickly lacked space. Nevertheless, we were lucky! Shortly after our difficulties to get everything into the transporter, it gave away it’s protests and merciful offered enough space. Afterwards, we directly hit the road to Sellstedt with our precious material because we had to support our hard-working building workers. Our arrival was being escorted by many smiling faces which suddenly turned down their corners of the mouth as the transporter could not be opened. But thanks to the support of all we finally managed to unload it very quickly and the smiling faces were back again, yes!!!
